Passcode check (OTP)

Confirm it's really your customer before they confirm the deal.

For higher-value or higher-risk sales, require the customer to enter a one-time passcode sent to their phone or email before they can see the verification. It's optional, and you decide per questionnaire.

In detail

What's included.

A second factor, without the friction

The customer opens their link and receives a short code on the phone number or email you have on file. They enter it, and the verification opens. It takes seconds, and it ties the answers to the person who controls that phone or inbox.

  • Code sent to the customer's phone or email on file
  • Short-lived, single-use codes
  • Successful and failed attempts logged in the audit trail
  • Stops a sales rep from completing the verification on the customer's behalf

On where it matters, off where it doesn't

Not every verification needs it. A $60,000 vehicle financing deal might; a service appointment confirmation might not. Turn the identity check on or off for each questionnaire independently.

  • Enable per questionnaire
  • No change to your API call
  • Customers who fail the code cannot proceed
  • Works alongside signature capture

FAQ

Questions we hear often

Do all clients use the passcode?
No. It's optional. Some clients use it on every questionnaire; others use it only for financing or high-value contracts.
What if the customer doesn't receive the code?
They can request a new code from the verification page. Each request is recorded in the audit trail.

See VerifiMe on your own sales process.

We'll build a sample questionnaire from one of your real contracts and walk your team through the customer experience, the report and the audit trail.
